Our projects

We will be sharing ‘knowledge organisers’ for each project by email.  In these you will find all of the information and skills that we are going to learn in school.  It would be fantastic if you could help us at home too!  At the end of every week we have class quizzes to make sure our knowledge is improving all of the time.  We focus on our learning behaviours to help us by being aspirational, curious, determined, independent and community-minded in all that we do.

This year, we are in cycle A of our long term plan so our projects are:

Summer Term in Eagles Class

The first half of this term we have all been doing home learning, this has meant that our topic ‘Predators’ looks a bit different to how it would look had we been learning at school! The children have been fantastic showing a real enthusiasm for our new topic and they have created some wonderful predator art work, science food chains, predator fact files, predator and prey haikus as well as much more. We started a new maths unit learning about Time and we have been challenging ourselves with daily maths problem solving tasks too. In Literacy we have a different 5 day sequence every week and so far this has covered a vast range of media such as film, poetry and non-fiction and I have loved reading everyone’s Friday writes. We have now had several video calls with 5 or 6 children at a time and Mrs Eltham and I always come away with a huge grin on our faces! It has been so lovely to see a few children from Eagles class back at school and it really makes me miss our time together as a whole.

Below are a few snippets of work that has been done this term, though there is so much more to be seen!
