Message from the Headteacher,
I’d like to start by saying a massive thank you and well done to the staff team that have worked so hard to keep school running as normal for the children, despite high staff absences. They have all gone above and beyond. Likewise, thank you to all for being vigilant and testing regularly.
Sadly, we had to postpone the art workshop. We will reschedule this for after half term when we hope everyone will be back to school and able to benefit from the opportunity.
Despite all the challenges it’s been another fun week in school. Owls Class have been reading Mr Wolf’s Pancakes. They have made a shopping list to make pancakes and have been learning to use speech bubbles. Parrots Class have been writing to persuade Oxfordshire County Council not to build on the Bodkins field to protect the habitat for wildlife. It’s been assessment week in Eagles Class but they have still found time to learn about Sherpa’s and to make fantastic sculptures in swimming which required strong team building skills. On Tuesday, Penguin Class had a Mayan day which included: history, math’s and Pok-A-Tok (a ball game).
I hope you all have a relaxing weekend. Warm regards,
Gillian Fraser
