Message from the Headteacher,

It’s been a busy week in school and I have really enjoyed starting to get to know all the children.

Parrots have been learning about the history of Long Wittenham and Janet Haylett came into school to share the WI’s scrap book. Parrot’s enjoyed their Victorian school day and looked fabulous in their costumes.

The Fresh Water Habitat Trust ran fascinating workshops for Eagles and Penguins. They learnt about nitrate and phosphate pollution and they have sent a sample of Little Wittenham pond water for DNA testing to see what is living in the pond.

Singing club gave a fantastic performance in celebration assembly today. They sang Do-Re-Mi from the Sound of Music and Somewhere Only We Know by Lily Allen and it was lovely to end the week on such a high.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend.

Warm regards, Gillian Fraser
