Message from the Headteacher

Thank you to everyone who attended the parent consultations on the revised Anti-bullying Policy on Wednesday. I will be making adjustments in line with feedback before taking the policy to the Full Governing Board meeting next week.

On Thursday, we had a visit from Paul Hargreaves, maths specialist appointed by the Local Authority. He visited classes, looked at books and met with teachers. He was very impressed by the calm atmosphere in classrooms and the excellent relationships between staff and children.

Children in all classes visited the Book Fair today, and filled in wish-lists of books they’d like to read. Do support the fair if you can, as every sale earns us credits to purchase books for the school.

In other news, we said a temporary au revoir to Ms. Mason this week as she went on maternity leave. We look forward to welcoming her back in the summer. Our advertisement for the class teacher role in Penguins Class is now live and we will keep you updated about progress with this.

In the meantime, to receive news about what we’re up to in school, follow us on Twitter and if you have any concerns or questions please do phone or email the school office and we’ll do our best to help.

Warm regards, Gillian Seymour
